(1)    Upostha Viharaya (Poyamalu Viharaya)
(2)    Pushparama Viharaya (Malwathu Viharaya)

PoyamaluViharaya was built by King Senasammatha Wickramabahu who reigned from 1473-1511 in the Senkadagala Kingdom. Some believe that he also built the Asgiri Viharaya.
He has built 86 Sanghavasas (monks’ residences) for Bhikkhus in Sri Lanka. King Kirthi Sri Rajasinghe started building the Poya Ge. Three more temples are associated with the Malwatte Viharaya – namely Meda Pansala, Thibbotuwawe Pansala and Sangharaja Pansala. Objects and artifacts used by the Weliwita Sangharaja Thero are now conserved and on display in the Sangharaja Pansala. These include large Siamese begging bowls, Watapatha, a luxurious palanquin, Pirith Potha and Pansiya Panas Jathaka Potha. Make sure to visit this Museum on your visit to Kandy for a memorable cultural experience.
